Beef Diablo
Feb 27th, 2007
Another really super simple recipe. This is a great roast and my kids even like it (which is strange considering they are normally "plain" eaters). Who knows. Kids are weird. - 1/4 medium Onion (sliced)
- 3/4 tsp Chili Sauce
- 3 medium Potatoes (peeled and sliced)
- 1 lb Roast, trimmed (beef, boneless)
- 3/4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 3/4 tsp Prepared Mustard
- 1/4 tsp Vinegar
- 1/4 tsp Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Flour
- Cut all the extra fat from the roast.
- Fill the bottom of your crockpot with onions and potatoes.
- Make a paste of mustard, flour, chili sauce, Worcestershire, vinegar, and sugar. Spread this all over the surface of the roast.
- Pu the roast in your crockpot for 5-6 hours on the HIGH setting or 10-10 on the LOW setting. NOTE, I think it tastes volumes better on the LOW setting, but my husband doesn't notice the difference. Also keep in mind that different crockpots have drastically different cooking times. So know your crockpot and read your directions.
